Major function in Louisville

So what is going to happen now that the opens were cancelled? We are afraid to purchace our airline tickets for Kentucky now because of all that is happening. We are a family who has to watch where every penny is going to and I am afraid to buy tickets that we really don't have the money for anyways and then have the function canceled. Does anyone have any solid information to set my worries at ease?
